Annual pay and monthly pay
Divide a yearly salary by 12 for a month, and avoid turning a month into four weeks.
Short answer
Monthly gross pay is the annual salary divided by 12. A week is the annual salary divided by 52. A month is not four weeks.
Twelve months, fifty-two weeks
There are about 4.33 weeks in a month, which is why salary ÷ 12 is larger than four weekly pays. If you are checking a biweekly paycheck, there are 26 of those in a 52-week year, not 24. Two months a year, a biweekly worker sees three checks.
None of these divisions remove taxes. Use them to place an offer next to rent or a weekly wage. Use the hourly calculator when the other offer is an hourly rate rather than a monthly bill.
